A Poem : Better Than the In Between

I’m typically super-excited to write. As I think about God’s Word and the beauty of Christ, joy, hope and life often explode in vibrant color in my mind as His Light ignites the prism of my soul. This is not one of those easy-to-write posts . . . I’ve been putting this one off, resisting, but the Spirit keeps telling me to write it. So, here goes.

This year our church is focusing on evangelism. We are asking God to give us a burden for the lost, for those who are not yet following Christ. We are asking Him for boldness to speak and to go. We are asking Him to make us weep for those who don’t know Jesus and begging Him for a bountiful harvest!

My wife and I were recently visiting with friends of ours, sitting around a fire as we love to do, talking about life, faith, and our great God.  My wife has been studying Revelation and was sharing about how beautiful it was that God loves our prayers so much that He collects them as incense in “golden bowls” in heaven.  (Rev. 5:8).  He keeps our prayers close to Him so he can continually enjoy the sweet aroma, like a heavenly bouquet.
