Joy For An Answered Prayer (a poem based on Psalm 130)

With faith-filled hope, I raise my voice,
In the valley low, make my heart rejoice,
My words ascending, like a dove,
To touch the heart of God above.
My patience worn, I sought the light,
My beacon in a dark night,
Through tears that fell, a fervent plea,
Oh, hear me, Lord, and answer me!
In hushed silence, I waited,
With pulse slowed and breath bated,
In this Holy stillness I found,
A whisper, gentle, and without sound.
My Father kindly heard my plea,
And turned His ear, in love, to me,
By dependent faith, I could see,
His grace unfolding just for me.
Joy wells up within my soul,
By answered prayer He made me whole,
A gift in love from heaven’s store,
Faithfulness confirmed forevermore.
With grateful heart, my song I raise,
A psalm of joy, a hymn of praise,
I'll praise the Lord in joyous dance,
His grace and love, my heart's romance.
