Better Than the In Between

Death is the communion of humanity. 
Hearts will stop beating and lungs will stop filling up and emptying out. 
Dust to dust with a little in between. 

So far the greatest moments are found in this in between. From  

Mountain views to pillow talk 
Newborns and oceans 
Lovers and wine 
Weeping and dancing  
Waterfalls and coffee cups 

A passionate kiss when your heart beat so hard you could literally feel the blood running through your skin. 

Perhaps in a flavor on your tongue.  

Fine Cheeses  
Fresh Strawberries  
Creme brulee

And these are just the in between. 

If the days on earth have felt like marathons and MMA rounds, let the ringing bell sound and remind of the life that’s been given. 

Vitality in a wave of grief 
Wonder in a heartbeat 
Freedom in the wind 
Beauty in a wildflower 

This is living, and it’s good. 

But death is gain. 
Better than the in between. 
From dust to gain, He takes us. 

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 

II Corinthians 5:1, 4 For we know that if our earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands.…so that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
