Ministry Resident Church Plant Resident
The Ministry Residency is designed for those who have completed their college studies or equivalent and already know their calling and career path. The Church Planting Resident will gain skills and strategic experience for the future vision of planting an independent church. This residency will help you develop vision, build a leadership team, and develop systems and strategies to start either an independent reproducing church, start a revitalization of a previous church, or start your church planting journey as a missionary.

Available Positions

Ministry Residents

We believe in the importance of raising up our next generation to be passionate and on fire for Jesus and that starts in Grace Kids. In this role you will be getting a well rounded view of Grace Kids from elementary to 6th grade. You will help oversee worship for elementary and junior divisions which includes picking songs, developing actions, and creating lyric videos. You will be involved in the development of print materials and managing the curriculum for elementary across all campuses including writing, editing, brainstorming, reviewing and involvement in the creation of series graphic, bumper and weekend specific videos or slides. You will see how campus support operates in a multi campus church, be hands on during our services and help with our SBO program at all campuses.

This position reports to our Grace Kids Director, Cathy Howey.

We are looking for a detail-oriented I.T. guru who wants to learn how a single Campus Support I.T. Team is able to support a multi-campus church, learn how a network position can enable the ministry, and see how the operations team leads and teaches others. This position will be able to help with everyday networking help desk tickets and troubleshooting Wi-Fi and firewall issues. They will also be over volunteers, tracing cables, and know what and how we use for all software applications.

This position reports to our I.T. Director, Jordan Vannocker.

Are you looking for a way to bring your skills and passion for the Church together? The Production Team helps bring worship to life and gives our attendees an experience where they will encounter God on a weekly basis. Production is what keeps our services flowing and it is a vital part of Grace Church. This residency is for someone who is passionate about learning how to lead volunteers and learning how to implement all technical aspects for services at a multi-site campus. You will be learning in depth knowledge of AVL, provide technical support for various projects & events, and assist with the planning and execution of weekend worship service.

This position reports to our Worship Director, Luke Lauber.

Our Grace Students ministry is devoted to investing in our 6th-12th grade students to become outward focused followers of Jesus. Through weekly teaching with small groups to fun events and serving opportunities, our goal is to equip our youth to love Jesus fully and be a light in their community. We are looking for a hardworking, Jesus-loving individual who is passionate about youth ministry and can provide insight and leadership to Grace Students at our North Overland Park Campus. Not only would you mentor students weekly, you would also plan and execute year-round events, both middle school and high school summer camps, and be hands on with curriculum and teaching.

This position reports to our Grace Students Director, Jake Brahm.

You will be writing curriculum, be hands on during our services, help with quarterly Grace Kids events, and help with our SBO program. If you’re excited about seeing kids and families grow in their relationships with Christ and with each other, and want to see the inner workings of a smaller church, then this is the residency for you.

This position reports to our Grace Kids Director, Jamie Twaddell.

We are looking for someone passionate about outreach and is excited about experiencing missions within a local church. You will get the opportunity to plan and lead community events, learn how to leverage teams of volunteers, and support outreach at one of our campuses. You will also build an Outreach Team and mobilize people to serve in their community and mission trips. If being sold out for your community gets you excited, then this is the residency for you. We will be hiring an outreach resident for each of our campuses: South Overland Park, North Overland Park, and Olathe.

This position reports to the Campus Pastor.

Does connecting new guests to their passions and purpose bring you joy? Are you fully invested in our mission for everyone to be outward-focused followers of Jesus? We are looking for someone who is passionate about the vision, beliefs, and values of Grace. This resident will assist in providing Growth Path oversight on a campus level for Groups, Care, and Involvement. If planning a community event and hosting for a weekend service gets you excited, then this is the job for you. We will be hiring two connections residents. One will serve at Sout Overland Park for 11 months then either Olathe or North Overland Park for 1 month. The other will serve at Olathe or North Overland Park for 11 months then South Overland Park for 1 month.

This position reports to the Connections Director.

This position reports to our Director of Mobilization, Justin Raby.
