Fall Internships

The Grace Kids Intern will receive a broad overview of ever division and are of Grace Kids. They will rotate between each are of the Grace Kid Ministry including Nursery, Grace Kids Jr (Pre-school) and Elementary. They will learn several aspects of the ministry including weekend prep and leadership from both the classroom and kids worship platforms, curriculum prep, teaching, scheduling and more. The ideal candidate is passionate about the next generation and has a desire to explore more about what leadership in kids ministry is like.

This position reports to our South Overland Park Grace Kids Director, Kelsey Clark.

Grace Special Needs Ministry exists to minister and provide support to individuals and families with special needs. Our desire is to let every individual know that they are welcomed, cared for, and loved. This is a full-time position and throughout the fall, the intern will understand the heart and why of Grace Special Needs and what drives our decisions and programming. They will plan for the weekend service and collaborate with Grace Student to prepare services and ensure games and worship programming is accessible or has accessible alternatives. They will help recruit and train volunteers, write curriculum and create and learn how to manage a budget. By the end of the semester, the intern will help plan and execute either a volunteer appreciation night or an outreach event. If you have a heart and desire for those with special needs, then this is the internship for you.

This position reports to our Special Needs Director, Tessa Bontrager.

This intern will help support the weekend worship services at all campuses through creative film elements whether story-driven or topical. This person will naturally stay current with industry and technology trends to create an engaging video experience. They will learn the fundamentals of film through lighting, equipment, and execution and implement a short film by the end of the fall. We are looking for someone who is creative, self-sufficient, coachable and a team player. This position is full-time and will office out of our South Overland Park location.

This position reports to our Film Director, Chris Anderson.


Fall Junior Internships

Grace Kids Jr. is for ages three to kindergarten and this division consists of a large group worship and story time followed by a small group time with discussion, crafts and games. We want our kids to know who God is and how much He loves them. Our goal is for our kids to understand how bible stories fit together into one big epic story. This is a part-time position and by the end of the summer, this intern will be able to help lead many aspects of Kids Worship Jr., help manage, train and schedule volunteers, have weekly one on one discipleship, and understand how Grace Kids Jr implements the weekend curriculum. By the end of the semester they will help direct all aspects of a Kids Worship Jr Storyteller Workshop from start to finish.
