Disaster Relief

At Grace, we are committed to loving our neighbors and every year natural disasters tragically leave people in need of help. We want to bring love, encouragement, and help in those times of need. Grace has partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to form a disaster response team.  Samaritan’s Purse is a gospel focused ministry that brings the wonderful story of Jesus to the people they serve.  Our team consists of people from Grace committed to helping those in need. If you would like to be a part of the team, sign up on the right.  We never know when a natural disaster will strike, but we want to be there to help.

Current Relief Efforts: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Grace Church is organizing a team of outward-focused people to head up to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to provide relief to the families devastated by the recent tornado.  The team will depart from our South Overland Park Campus Wednesday, September 9, at 2:30pm, and serve on the 10th, 11th, and 12th, and then drive back to Overland Park the evening of the 12th. If you are interested in helping, sign up above or email relief@visitgracechurch.com. Everyone volunteering will be required to take a COVID test with a negative result. We will be partnering with Samaritan’s Purse, and if you are wanting to learn more about their policies click HERE.
