Grace Student Ministries are always working to create an environment where students can experience God's love in a real and relevant way. Each week we host a Sunday night student service that allows teens (both middle school and high school) to connect with each other and learn more about their faith.

However, our hope for students goes way beyond Sunday night. We desire that they would experience God in a much larger context and see the bigger picture of what God intended the church to be. We encourage students to be fully integrated into the life of the church by attending main worship services with their family, and using their talents to help others both in the church and in the community.

Why do students meet on Sunday nights?

Student Ministries meet on Sunday nights to give our students the best chance at developing a faith, that not just survives, but flourishes after high school.  Studies of modern youth ministry have revealed that between 50 – 60 percent of students will walk away from Christianity once they graduate high school. However, studies also show that students who worship in an intergenerational context (our Saturday night and Sunday morning services), participate in ministry alongside adults, and serve in a missions context with their parents (homeless outreach, mission trips etc.), have a greater chance of developing what some call a “sticky faith.”

By holding our Student Ministries services on Sunday nights, families have an opportunity to worship and serve together. At the same time, we are not forsaking the importance of age specific ministry, which is also important in the spiritual and social development of our teens.
